  • SELECTION CRITERIA

    The function of Festoon System is to feed power supply to a moving machine. For proper selection of cable carriers it is suggested first determine the number of conductors, size and capacity and over what distance it has to travel. Then calculate the no. of loops, stored length of trolleys based on avaiable space for a loop height. Check whether the stored length along with collector is within the width of the moving equipment. Finally preexisting conditions must be taken into account. These may include the use of an existing track, electrical termination or that of adverse environmental conditions.


    A. Determine required number of cables & diameter / size of cables.
    B. Select the trolley based on the available with & number of Tires (Deck)
    C. Determine length of cable. Cable length = Total travel length (C)*1.1
    D. Decide loop depth (D) according to the height available
    E. Calculate number of trolley. Number of trolley = Cable Length / 2*D (loop length)
    F. Calculate Storage Length (E). Storage Length (E) = (Number of trolley + End Cap / Fixed Trolley)*Width of Trolley
    G. If this Length exceeding the length of machiine (B). Extra track length will be needed to accomodate the Trolley in storage position.

    STANDARD DUTY C-TRACK SYSTEMS:

    C-TRACK Festoon Cable Systems are the durable, all-purpose workhorse of the industry, and are suitable for a host of applications.
    The track is made of 14 gauge galvanized steel and comes in convenient lengths which simply bolt together.

  • I-BEAM SYSTEMS:

    I-Beam Systems Festoon trolleys are designed and constructed to fit varying beam sizes and their adjustable chassis. These trolleys are made up of Steel. With speed of about 60m/min and load carrying capacity for four wheel trolley upto 400kg. They are ideally used for monorails. These are availabble as Light, Medium and Heavy Duty.
